Legal Recruiting Coordinator
Bernstein Shur, Maine’s largest law firm, is seeking a Legal Recruiting Coordinator to join its dynamic hiring team in the Portland, ME office.
The right candidate will be a core component of the hiring team and will work closely with the Firm’s Hiring Partner to plan, schedule and execute the Firm’s attorney hiring initiatives. This role will include: planning the Firm’s summer associate program and other recruiting events; significant direct communications with Firm attorneys, candidates, new hires and law schools; strategic planning relating to attorney recruiting; administrative support and data collection relating to the hiring process; and execution of various recruiting and hiring projects. This person will report to the Hiring Partner, will also assist the CEO related to lateral attorney recruiting, will provide administrative assistance to the Attorney Retention Partner, and will assist the Director of Human Resources with a variety of projects. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and change roles with fluidity is a must. The Legal Recruiting Coordinator must possess a high degree of initiative, discretion, and ability to communicate professionally and tactfully with the utmost diplomacy, treating all candidates and colleagues with dignity and respect.
This position will require some in-office work but is flexible enough to allow for remote work as well (particularly during the pandemic). Bernstein Shur strictly follows all CDC guidelines for the employee safety.
· Ambitious, self-motivated, pro-active, and hard-working
· A clear, conscise communicator across multiple mediums with an eye for editing when necessary
· Exceptional time management, scheduling, organization and administrative skills
· 2+ years of experienced in high performance environments in similar roles
· Knowledgeable in best practices associated with communication, prioritization and information dissemination
